About the role:
This position will provide legal support to An Electronics Company's procurement, supply chain and operations business teams on a variety of complex matters.

Your Team:
This position will report to An Electronics Company's Director, Legal Procurement and has no direct reports. This position will manage outside counsel in connection with certain work.

What you will do:
  • Provide general legal advice to An Electronics Company's procurement and supply chain functions across its direct material, outsourcing, software, license and indirect supply teams
  • Draft, review and negotiate supply agreements, service agreements, statements of work, confidentiality agreements, logistics agreements, warehouse agreements, engineering service agreements, software-as-a-service agreements (SAAS), consulting agreements, manufacturing agreements, outsourcing agreements, data privacy/protection agreements, and license agreements
  • Manage litigation matters arising out of procurement and operations activities, including contract disputes, indemnification claims, product liability claims, and compliance matters
  • Support supply chain compliance programs related to FCPA, U.S. export controls, human rights, etc.
  • Assist with the design and implementation of legal process improvements, including contract standardization/automation initiatives.
  • Prepare and conduct trainings for managers and employees on relevant legal topics

What You Need:
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of related experience, ideally in a combination of well-regarded law firm and corporate settings, including relevant automotive industry experience
  • Law degree from a reputable law school in the United States
  • Must be licensed to practice in in any jurisdiction within the United States and a member of a state bar in good standing
  • Solid experience independently drafting, negotiating and interpreting commercial contracts
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to liaise with all areas of the business
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond promptly to shifting priorities
