Primary Responsibilities:
  • Working collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Leading cases. and represent clients and businesses in civil litigation and other legal proceedings
  • Collaborate with clients and their advisors to develop strategies designed to meet specific goals.
  • Draft and file briefs, motions, and other necessary judicial pleadings.
  • Interview and depose witnesses and facilitate the discovery process.
  • Supervise and direct mediation sessions and offer effective legal advice.
  • Manage multiple clients, cases and legal activities that carry varying deadlines.
  • Engage in business development, including professional organization involvement and writing.
  • Supervise paralegals, staff, and team members as your role progresses.

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • Successful passing of the bar exam
  • Active member in good standing of the Bar or currently eligible to become licensed, to practice law in Nebraska.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience, such as motion practice, discovery dispute and trial preparation along with a strong interest in litigation.
  • Strong work ethic, drive, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a small team environment.

Preferred Experience:
  • 7+ years of specific litigation/trial experience.
  • Excellent academic and professional credentials.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
