About the role:
Join A Leading Financial Technology Company's legal team as an Assistant/Associate General Counsel, where you'll provide crucial legal services across our operations in the US, Mexico, and Brazil. This role demands agility and professionalism in delivering strategic, timely solutions to support our diverse product offerings and drive business success.

Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including credit agreements, indentures, ancillary transactional agreements, intercompany agreements, bank partnership agreements, purchase agreements, and NDAs.
  • Provide legal guidance on financing matters, corporate governance, public company filings, including those specific to consumer and small business financial services sectors.
  • Provide support and assistance as needed on other transactional/corporate focused matters, including intellectual property, real estate, insurance, and labor and employment.
  • Support diligence, signing, closing, and other deal stages of financing and other complex transactions.
  • Oversee post-transaction management, including reporting requirements, waivers, and amendments, and resolve any contractual disputes.
  • Manage external legal counsel to address various corporate and transactional matters effectively.

Requirements:
  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school with active bar membership.
  • At least 4 years of experience in transactional law, ideally with both law firm and in-house experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and legal analysis abilities, sound judgment, and efficient project management skills.
  • Experience or strong interest in financial services or a related regulated industry.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proven ability to influence cross-functional groups and communicate business-oriented legal advice in an efficient way.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
