As a Senior Counsel, you'll be a vital force driving innovation and excellence as you navigate the intricate landscape of technology licenses, digital advertising, regulatory issues and data privacy and security requirements in the eCommerce realm.

What You'll Do:
  • You'll be at the forefront of negotiating cutting-edge transactions and technology licenses, ensuring the security of our data and success of our digital initiatives.
  • Dive into the depths of eCommerce legal issues, including requirements related to data privacy, shaping the way we promote goods and safeguard customer data.
  • From traditional print to digital platforms, you'll review and advise on advertising materials, ensuring our messaging resonates with our audience while staying legally sound.
  • Manage our trademark portfolio alongside expert counsel, safeguarding our brand's integrity and impact.

What You'll Need:
  • A J.D. degree and membership in good standing in in at least one State Bar, with the ability to be licensed to practice law as an in-house attorney in Texas
  • Minimum of 5 years of related legal experience in house or with a top law firm
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of eCommerce issues
  • Solid understanding of technology (ideally in the context of data and software) and the digital marketing and advertising ecosystems
  • Ability to assess risk strategically and help team members mitigate that risk while achieving their goals
  • A willingness and desire to take ownership of projects and think proactively
  • Superior organizational skills with the ability to prioritize high-volume work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team to collaborate across geographic and organizational boundaries to deliver better business results and share best practices

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in retail or food/beverage legal domains, providing valuable insights into industry-specific challenges and opportunities.
  • Proficiency in eCommerce regulations, pricing strategies, and digital advertising, ensuring compliance and innovation go hand in hand.
  • Familiarity with data privacy and security legal requirements and issues, implementing robust measures to safeguard sensitive data.
  • Previous experience in advertising/marketing legal realms, crafting campaigns that captivate audiences while staying legally sound.
