Essential Information

  • Pay Considerations – The salary range for the position is $81,196.77 – $131,1143.85. Starting salary is dependent on education, qualifications, and experience.
  • Work Schedule – This position is scheduled to work 4 days per week, 9 hours per day (36 hour work week), Monday through Thursday, 7:00am to 5:00pm.
  • Environment – Light Work: Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Must be able to lift a minimum of 15* pounds unassisted. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of force greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.

The Role:
Under general direction is responsible for representing the City on all matters heard in, and appealed from, the North Las Vegas Municipal Court, and assisting the Chief Deputy Attorney.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
  • Juris Doctorate or equivalent (undergraduate degree and LLB) from an accredited law school.
  • Certificate of admission to the State Bar of Nevada at time of application.

Licenses and Certifications:
  • Must possess a valid state driver's license with the ability to maintain satisfactory motor record and obtain an appropriate Nevada state driver's license within required time frame.
