Northern Virginia Estate Planning and Business Lawyers, an award-winning law firm in Fairfax, Virginia, is growing and looking for another kind, smart, and motivated attorney to join our wonderful team. We are looking for a full-time, Virginia-licensed attorney with civil litigation and trial experience.

This position is ideal for an attorney who would enjoy the opportunity to interact with clients daily, to design and execute strategies for their cases, and to have significant independence in handling their caseload while at the same time having a strong support system from an excellent team of attorneys. Our firm exists to help those who wish to obtain legal protection and security for their families, sometimes in the wake of a personal, professional, or financial loss, and this position is crucial in allowing us to effectively help them.

Additional qualifications include:
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to genuinely connect with clients and potential clients.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to closely follow established policies and procedures.
  • Experience in fiduciary, estate, and/or commercial/contract litigation is a plus, but not required.
  • DC and/or Maryland licenses are a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities:
  • Handle cases from start to finish in a high-quality manner.
  • Ensure regular follow-up with clients, as we pride ourselves on regular client communication and excellent client service.
  • Delegate and utilize the support provided by the team, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Conduct a portion of new client consultations.
  • Contribute to the firm's success as needed, whether by developing new procedures, training team members, assisting with collections, covering for colleagues so they can have quality time off, or in other ways.

Qualifications:
  • Virginia Bar License.
  • Experience in civil litigation, including trial experience in Circuit Court and GDC.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to genuinely connect with clients and potential clients.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to closely follow established policies and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail, including impeccable spelling and grammar.
  • Ability to multitask and to be flexible.
