Position Summary:
The Implied Consent Attorney position will be responsible for performing professional legal representation for Service Oklahoma, primarily in the area of implied consent litigation. Professional legal research and representation may be required in other areas related to driver license and motor vehicle services. Service Oklahoma is responsible for administering driver and motor vehicle services for the State of Oklahoma with the goal of simplifying and streamlining government services while providing residents with a best-in-class customer experience.

This position is based primarily in southern Oklahoma but may require travel outside of that geographic area.

Position Responsibilities:
The job duties of this position may include responsibilities listed below.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including but not limited to those specific to Service Oklahoma.
  • Prepares various briefs, pleadings, motions, petitions, and other legal documents.
  • Assembles legal materials, agency data, documents, and pleadings for court cases.
  • Ensures that deadlines are met for filing various court actions.
  • Participates in all aspects of litigation.
  • Provides management with advice and work product exhibiting knowledge, insight, and understanding of relevant law and facts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:
Education/experience for this position consists of:
  • Graduation from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Oklahoma
  • Minimum one (1) year of legal experience as a licensed attorney

Special Requirements:
  • The schedule for this position may require flexibility, based on the needs of the agency. This position is eligible for some telework.
  • This position will require travel. The selected applicant must be willing and able to perform all job-related travel. Possession and maintenance of a valid Oklahoma Driver License is also required.
