Description:
At A Defense Litigation Law Firm, we are a fast-growing busy personal injury defense firm in Garden City, NY seeking an associate attorney with 1 to 2 years of experience in all phases of personal injury litigation, preferably defense litigation, including motor vehicle and premises liability cases. The candidate must be a self-starter, well-organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.At least 1 year of experience in personal injury litigation is required.
Admission to NYS Bar is required.
Duties to include but are not limited to:
- The ability to handle a large caseload of motor vehicle and premises liability defense cases from inception to conclusion;
- Trial experience is a plus but not required;
- Drafting correspondence, pleadings, discovery demands/responses;
- Ability to review and analyze medical records, prepare reports to carriers and provide verdict and settlement values;
- Conducting and defending general liability and motor vehicle accident depositions;
- Drafting discovery and Summary Judgment motions;
- Reviewing, maintaining, and organizing case files;
- Knowledge of TABS-3 Billing program a plus- or will train;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Word required;
- Starting salary is $75,000.00 and is commensurate with experience;
