We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled attorney to join our family law practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for family law and a strong desire to advocate for clients going through challenging legal situations. As an Associate Attorney, you will handle a variety of family law cases, providing legal advice, representation, and support to clients.Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, paternity, child custody, child support, guardianships, adoptions, and more.
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Attend court hearings and depositions, advocating for clients' interests.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide legal advice and keep them informed about case progress.
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
- Work collaboratively with other attorneys and staff members within the firm.
- Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.
- Stay up to date with changes in family law and legal precedents.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active and good standing license to practice law in Indiana.
- 0-3 years of experience in family law or a related field.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach when dealing with clients.
