A Government Entity is seeking a licensed attorney to fill the role of Assistant Prosecutor.Job Description: Works under the direction of the elected prosecutor to perform essential prosecutorial functions. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Reviewing police reports and making charging decisions
- Appearing in Circuit, District, and Probate Court as needed
- Engaging in plea negotiations
- Preparing for and conducting jury trials
- Researching, writing, and arguing various motions
- Answering questions from law enforcement about legal issues
