Description:
A Client-Centered Law Firm is seeking a motivated, self-starting Associate Attorney to join our Trial Department. This person will play a pivotal role in advocating for our clients' rights, in and out of the courtroom. This person must be dedicated to delivering outstanding legal services to clients.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage discovery, including propounding and responding to written discovery, taking, and defending depositions, and analyzing complex documents.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings and complex motions.
- Perform legal research.
- Make court appearances ranging from status conferences to trial.
- Participate in case strategy discussions and contribute innovative ideas.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and team members.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on cases.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in California and/or Hawaii.
- 2- 5 years of experience in
- Proficiency in Adobe, Microsoft Office products.
- Proficiency with E-Discovery and law programs such as, Sharefile, PACER, CaseAnywhere, Lexis, Smart Advocate, Everlaw, FileVine and OneLegal.
- Detail oriented and organized, be a team player, be reliable, and capable of multitasking and managing several time-critical projects under tight deadlines.
- This position requires excellent written and oral communication skills.
