Description:
Our ideal candidate has a strong working knowledge of tax law, excellent organization, research, communication and negotiation skills. Experience in the areas of tax controversy, litigation, domestic and U.S. international tax controversy/compliance is preferred. Our ideal candidate creates strategies that work to achieve the client's desired outcome.Qualifications:
Experience:
- Along with a JD, you must have substantial financial/accounting experience; ideally you have received a CPA/ LL.M. in tax or both
- Minimum of 2-4 years practice as an attorney
- Two or more years of direct tax controversy and/or tax litigation will be considered in lieu of a CPA or LLM
- U.S. international and domestic tax compliance, and tax litigation
- A proven history of meeting all filing deadlines
- Ability to handle evaluation, risk assessment and counseling on various complicated tax problems
Other/Communication
- Strong working knowledge of tax law
- Be adept at interacting with clients, taxing authorities, public accountants, other humans
- Impeccable research and writing skills
- Meets client deadlines and work extra hours when required
- Meets daily billable hour goals
