Responsibilities:

Review, negotiate, and draft commercial contracts, bid proposal terms, and other business documents.
Provide constructive decision support to management, human resources and sales team as needed.
Some legal research and other duties as assigned by the Senior Counsel or General Counsel.

Required Qualifications:

Must be licensed to practice law in Texas.
Must have an interest in the broader oil and gas industry.
Must have 2 – 5 years of commercial transactional legal experience, as a licensed attorney.
Must be business-minded and able to assist with managing risk while balancing commercial considerations.
Must be able to successfully multi-task.
Must have exceptional organization skills.
Must be able to prioritize tasks and assignments under deadline with limited direction and shifting priorities.
Must be adaptable and willing to take on varied responsibilities related to commercial transactions, employment law, regulatory matters, and other areas of law.
Must be able to pass all applicable background screening tests.
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and a positive attitude.

If candidate has less than 3 years of relevant work experience as a practicing transactional attorney, candidate must have graduated in the top half of candidate's graduating law school class.

Preferred Qualifications:

Licensed to practice law in Ohio, in addition to Texas.
In-house legal experience.
Experience in the oil and gas industry and/or experience with the sale of fuels and lubricants, transportation/logistics services, or environmental health and safety.
