Job Description:
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Act as a strategic advisor to business leadership as a corporate generalist with strong business acumen, sound judgment, and a pragmatic, risk-based approach that drives business results.
  • Drive the structure and strategy of transactions and execute related legal work, including drafting and negotiating contracts, performing due diligence, and collaborating with and coordinating advice from legal subject-matter experts.
  • Direct, oversee, and execute complex transactions, including digital technology licensing, acquisition, development, and distribution deals.
  • Advise on legal issues applicable to global regulated medical device companies, including antitrust and unfair competition laws, anti-bribery and corruption laws, medical device regulations, and data privacy laws.
  • Support litigation and internal investigations.
  • Provide trainings and present on various matters.
  • Manage outside counsel and, as assigned, supervise and manage members of legal team.

Required Qualifications:
  • JD (or global equivalent) with active bar membership.
  • 5+ years of substantial business/healthcare law experience at a large law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry and advising on legal issues applicable to medical device companies, including FDA regulations and the Anti-Kickback Statute.
  • Competency and experience advising on technology and software-based transactions, such as development agreements and licensing, mergers and acquisition deals, with particular emphasis on data-rights and privacy issues.
  • Executive presence, outstanding interpersonal skills, and high emotional intelligence.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills that simplify complexity and concisely convey advice to business teams.
  • Organized and prioritized approach to work with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and in a highly matrixed environment.
