Job Summary:
A Law Firm in Philadelphia, PA, a 30-attorney law firm representing business and commercial law clients in complex litigation and sophisticated transactional and corporate matters, is seeking an attorney with 7+ years of commercial litigation or insurance defense experience for a full-time position in its Center City Philadelphia location. Now in its 50th year of client service, our award-winning law firm is a community partner in the Philadelphia region with a dynamic team of entrepreneurial attorneys. Pennsylvania bar admission required; New Jersey and/or Florida bar admission a plus. In-office position with hybrid flexibility.

Qualifications:
  • Experience handling all aspects of pre-trial caseload, including taking depositions, preparing and answering discovery, preparing/answering and arguing motions, preparing trial documents, and related work
  • An established book of business with portable client base
  • Knowledge of Pennsylvania state and federal court rules, court practices, and civil filing procedures
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle a high volume of cases
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and complete simultaneous projects
  • Ability to travel to Court appearances and other events in Pennsylvania and the region
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook, and knowledge of iManage or similar document management system preferred)
  • Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, professional staff, and peers

Education & Experience:
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • 7+ years of experience as a practicing attorney in defense litigation (primarily)
