A Government Entity is currently seeking a highly skilled attorney to join the Prosecution Division of the City Attorney's Office. This pivotal role entails engaging in the prosecution of municipal court cases and providing entry-level professional legal services. The successful candidate for the position of Prosecuting City Attorney will demonstrate exceptional aptitude in independently handling a substantial caseload within a dynamic, high-volume court setting.

Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
Juris Doctorate

Desired Qualifications:
Computer skills, prosecution trial work and a background in the legal aspects of domestic violence prosecution

Licensing, Certifications and Other Requirements
Admission to the Washington State Bar Association and License to Practice Law in Washington

  • Provide professional legal services required in municipal government operations
  • Organize and evaluate case facts, evidence and other documentation
  • Perform legal research and prepare legal opinions
  • Participate in deliberative proceedings and provide effective legal counsel
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Read, interpret, apply and explain statutes, codes, rules, regulations, policies and procedures
