Position Overview:
The Workers' Compensation Defense Partner will play a crucial role in managing, leading, and expanding our firm's workers' compensation defense practice. This position involves overseeing case strategy, litigation, and resolution for our clients, as well as mentoring associates and contributing to the firm's overall growth. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, capable of managing a full caseload remotely while fostering client relationships and pursuing business development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a diverse range of workers' compensation defense cases from inception through resolution.
  • Develop and implement effective case strategies in collaboration with clients and team members, ensuring alignment with clients' goals and expectations.
  • Serve as a mentor to associates, providing guidance and support to foster their professional development and success within the practice area.
  • Engage in business development activities to cultivate new client relationships and maintain existing ones, contributing to the firm's growth and reputation in the workers' compensation defense arena.
  • Stay abreast of legislative changes, judicial rulings, and industry trends affecting workers' compensation to provide informed advice and strategic direction.
  • Represent the firm and clients in hearings, mediations, and other dispute resolution proceedings, demonstrating exceptional advocacy skills.
  • Contribute to the firm's thought leadership by participating in seminars, writing articles, and engaging in professional organizations related to workers' compensation law.

Must be Barred in the the State of Illinois and have at least five years of experience in Workers Compensation Defense.
