Summary:
The position is an occasional position (less than 130 hours per month) and no benefits are provided.

Required Education & Experience:
  • The student should be enrolled in the second or third year of law school and have completed (or currently enrolled in) the Professional Responsibility course.
  • Currently enrolled in or a graduate of a law-related program preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in document handling and note-taking.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and legal research databases.
  • Reliable transportation to local clerk's offices and flexibility to work occasional hours as needed.

Preferred Education & Experience
Prior experience working in a legal environment or familiarity with legal procedures is advantageous.

Law Clerk Work (95%)
  • Organize and maintain retrieved documents in an efficient and systematic manner.
  • Assist partners and attorneys by promptly sending retrieved documents via email or other designated channels.
  • Attend hearings and proceedings as required, taking comprehensive notes and summarizing key points discussed.
  • Collaborate with legal team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Perform general administrative duties as needed, including photocopying, scanning, and filing documents.

General and Administrative (5%)
Performs other duties as assigned.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
