The Position:
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice in the State of Texas
- 5+ years' experience in litigation
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience in healthcare commercial/business litigation preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Legal project management experience is helpful
Responsibilities:
- Support a litigation caseload representing primarily healthcare business entities in both commercial and consumer cases from inception through dispositive motion, mediation, negotiated resolution, binding arbitration or trial
- Assist a team in providing risk management advice and counsel to healthcare organizations regarding business operations and general counsel services to clients
- Work closely with other attorneys and partners on legal projects
- Regularly handle court appearances and depositions
- Communicate with clients and provide status reports
