Employs Dedicated Attorneys is seeking a qualified candidate to join our team as an Associate Medical Malpractice Defense Attorney. This position involves assisting other attorneys in the firm with the defense of medical malpractice claims. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of two years of experience in medical malpractice defense and/or active motions practice in trial courts.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist senior attorneys in defending medical malpractice claims.
  • Draft panel submissions, discovery motions, dispositive motions, and other legal filings.
  • Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable uniform and local rules of practice in state and federal district courts.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
  • Take the lead in drafting dispositive motions and opposition memoranda.
  • Manage caseload independently and efficiently, with appropriate supervision as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice before the Louisiana state trial and appellate courts.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in medical malpractice defense or related litigation.
  • Demonstrated experience in drafting panel submissions, motions, and briefs.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience handling medical malpractice matters in administrative proceedings or state courts.
  • Proven track record of successfully defending medical malpractice claims.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
