Role:Providence RI Personal Injury Attorneys is looking for a full-time, on-site attorney to join our team in downtown Providence with with 0-3 years of experience to handle a variety of civil litigation cases, including serious personal injury, medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, and business disputes. The right fit must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong time management and organizational skills, and be a member of the Rhode Island Bar. Membership to the Massachusetts and/or Connecticut bars are a plus. Benefits include health and dental, paid holidays, paid time off, profit sharing plan, and competitive salary.
Qualifications:
- JD from an ABA Accredited law school.
- 0-3 years of professional experience.
- Membership to the Rhode Island Bar. Bar membership in Massachusetts and/or Connecticut is a plus.
- Effective oral and written communication and advocacy.
- Skilled in legal research and writing.
- Outstanding organization, time management and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Participation in all aspects of a case, from intake to settlement or trial.
- Communicating clearly and effectively with clients throughout the course of their case.
- Drafting of pleadings, motions, memoranda, discovery, and settlement demands.
- Arguing motions, including but not limited to, discovery and dispositive motions.
- Researching a varitey of complex legal issues in preparation of memoranda and oral arguments.
