An Insurance Coverage, Defense, and Reinsurance Law Firm seeks a driven mid-level to senior associate attorney to join its team in Newtown, Pennsylvania.An Insurance Coverage, Defense, and Reinsurance Law Firm attorneys work closely together to work on complex insurance matters received from domestic and international insurer clients. Due to the nature of the work, An Insurance Coverage, Defense, and Reinsurance Law Firm attorneys handle matters across all 50 states and Latin America.
About the Job:
An Insurance Coverage, Defense, and Reinsurance Law Firm serves as coverage and defense counsel for insurers and their insureds across the country. Associates work closely with Partners on all phases of litigation, from claim investigations following catastrophic losses, case evaluation and reporting, discovery, depositions, mediations and arbitrations, and trial presentation.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years of experience as an attorney in a private law firm or clerkship
- Litigation experience: general liability, premises liability, and insurance coverage preferred
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Superb interpersonal skills
- Exceptional academics - top 33% of law class preferred
Required:
- J.D. is required
- Must be admitted to practice in the one of the following states: PA, NY, NJ, DE, or MD
