Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. As a Litigation Attorney, you will be responsible for representing clients in civil lawsuits and providing legal advice on litigation matters. Your expertise in legal research, drafting legal documents, and negotiating settlements will be essential in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation cases
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Prepare for and attend court hearings, trials, and depositions
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure effective case management
- Provide legal advice to clients regarding litigation strategies and potential outcomes
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact ongoing cases
- Maintain accurate and organized case files
Experience:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Litigation Attorney
- Strong knowledge of legal principles and procedures related to litigation
- Proficiency in conducting legal research using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw databases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound advice to clients
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
