A Full-Service Law Firm is seeking an associate with 2-5 years' experience in Labor & Employment matters to join our vibrant Labor, Employment & Immigration team in our Virginia Beach, VA office. - 2-5 years' experience practicing employment law, including employment litigation, employment counseling, alternative dispute resolution and traditional labor law.
- Additional experience drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, conducting depositions, oral argument, drafting and reviewing contracts, and negotiating settlements.
- Ability to recognize the importance of early, accurate risk assessment, as well as experience working with management and in-house counsel, is considered a plus.
- Excellent writing and analytical skills, scrupulous attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure with multiple deadlines.
- Must be able to work effectively as part of a team, while also being able to assume individual responsibility for client matters involving direct client interaction.
- Successful candidates will possess the ambition to excel within a fast-paced law firm environment and enjoy working with like-minded attorneys.
- Candidates must be currently licensed in Virginia, immediate waive in or a member of the bar in one or more US Jurisdictions and willing to sit for the Virginia bar.
