A well-established family law firm known for its commitment to excellence and client advocacy is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Part-time Intake Attorney licensed to practice in the State of Michigan to join our legal team.Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with family law attorneys and legal teams to develop comprehensive case strategies.
- Conduct interviews with potential clients to gather essential information about their legal issues.
- Analyze the provided information to assess the legal merits of the case which involves identifying relevant laws and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of initial legal documents and contracts necessary to formally engage the client.
- Provide legal advice and guidance on various legal matters.
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice and in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of legal principles and procedures.
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound advice.
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Efficiently handle multiple inquiries and prioritize cases.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact clients' cases
Maintain accurate and organized case files
Experience:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
- Proven experience in legal research, writing, and analysis
- Familiarity with legal databases such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
- Strong litigation skills with the ability to effectively represent clients in court
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
