Role Description:This is a full-time position located in Illinois, with 100% flexibility for remote and in person work. Offices located in Wheaton and Chicago. As a Family Law Attorney at A Family Law Firm, you will be responsible for handling a variety of family law cases. Your day-to-day tasks will include providing legal advice, participating in team meetings, and mediations, preparing and filing legal documents, representing clients in, collaborative meetings, mediations, and negotiations, and advocating for the best interests of your clients. This includes matters such as divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, and property division. Heavy emphasis on the Collaborative Process and Mediation: litigation as a last resort.
Qualifications:
- JD degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in the state of Illinois
- Strong knowledge of family law and relevant legislation
- Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
- Experience in representing clients in family law matters
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with clients
Experience in mediation and alternative dispute resolution methods is a plus.
