The associate attorney will be able to handle all aspects of a family law matter, except in some cases litigation. The associate attorney will handle case load independently with support from more senior attorneys and will work with client and supporting staff such as paralegals, law clerks, and support admin to deliver exceptional value and service to the client. The associate attorney may be asked to perform consultations with prospects and will be expected to be able to convey the value of working with our firm.

Job Responsibilities:

Guide clients by providing strategic direction on their cases, understanding their needs and wants, pivoting when needed, and keeping the client at the center of each matter
Represent clients in court proceedings
Be able to draft pleadings, conduct discovery, handle mediations and settlement conferences and pretrial hearings and trials
Prepare and attend all hearings, mediations, depositions and trials
Delegate and communicate with other attorneys and staff to efficiently move the case forward and prevent details from falling through the cracks
Stays on top of billing for each matter and ensures that clients have funds prior to working on any case
