A Divorce Law Firm is a boutique law firm that focuses on Family Law. Our mission is to provide family law legal services in a compassionate, efficient, and detailed manner. We value communication, clarity, integrity, and trust with our clients.Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of family law matters, including but not limited to divorce, child custody, child support, modifications, enforcements, spousal support, paternity, adoption, and domestic violence.
- Conduct legal research and analysis related to family law
- Drafting legal document including memoranda, pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements.
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, hearings, and trials.
- Maintain knowledge of current laws and codes used in family law cases
- Provide strategic legal advice and case strategy advice to clients
- Sensitivity and compassion are a must when communicating with clients
- Effective team player with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff
- Up-to-date on family law, civil procedure, evidence, local rules, and other legal principles and procedures.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication, empathy, compassion and professionalism.
- Management of case deadlines
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar and in good standing with no disciplinary actions.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing family law in Texas as lead attorney
- Proven Experience in any of the following counties is a must: Fort Bend, Harris, Waller, Dallas, Austin, Montgomery, Grimes, Wharton, Colorado, Collin, Denton
- Strong litigation skills, organization skills, courtroom experience and proficiency in legal research and writing.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and client-focused approach to legal practice.
- Commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards and maintaining client confidentiality.
- Experience working with the AG's office
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with complex issues in family law cases.
- Certification or specialization in family law.
- Spanish fluency
