Overview:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Experienced Family Law Attorney to join our legal team. We are seeking someone with 3 to 5 years of family law experience. As a Family Law Attorney, you will manage your own family law cases through the entire process including consultations, hearings, discovery, mediation, and final hearings. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong research and trial skills who is passionate about family law.
Duties:
- Conduct legal research for the benefit of your cases and clients
- Preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Draft correspondence and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Consult with prospective clients
- Prepare for trials and hearings
- Attend court proceedings
- Negotiate settlements for the benefit of your clients
- Prepare and attend mediation
- Develop case strategies
- Prepare Financial Declarations
- Oversee and Provide Instruction to your paralegal
- Review Pleadings, Discovery, Temporary Packets and all other documents drafted by your paralegal
Skills:
- Strong research skills
- Strong trial skills including preparation of trial exhibits and strong knowledge of Civil Procedure and Evidence
- Proficient in drafting legal documents and correspondence
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to negotiate effectively on behalf of clients
- Familiarity with legal drafting techniques for pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Knowledge of family law procedures and regulations
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
