Description:

Municipal Defense Attorneys is looking to hire an associate to assist with civil and municipal cases, with a focus on civil rights litigation. The position will involve heavy research and writing, with court room exposure. This position is ideal for a brand new attorney or someone with 1 year or less of experience.

Qualifications:

Conduct legal research using Westlaw and other legal databases
Assist with discovery, including background research, depositions, document production, and motion practice
Review and analyze pre-litigations matters to provide recommendations
Prepare for and participate in hearings, trials, and appellate arguments
Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the legal process
Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations that may impact client cases
