Description:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • JD or equivalent degree
  • 15 years of experience in litigation/regulatory investigations and enforcement, investigations and incidents, or addressing, minimizing, and avoiding regulatory risk.
  • Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g. have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience managing or mentoring others, partnering effectively with cross-functional teams, and influencing others without direct authority.
  • Experience in crisis management and compliance.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to be action-oriented and seek to meet high standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, time management, problem solving, and investigative skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team to address the highest and emerging risks pertaining to how we manage, support, and respond to our workforce, including addressing ethical or other misconduct by our employees and extended workforce, and ensuring that issues of significant concern raised by our workforce are responded to in a rapid and thoroughly responsive manner.
  • Respond to regulatory scrutiny, enforcement actions, and other proceedings in the United States and globally.
  • Manage investigations and incidents in the United States and globally.
  • Establish the policies and processes by which Alphabet manages regulatory scrutiny, internal investigations, and significant incidents to minimize and prevent risk.
  • Evaluate potential or emerging internal and external risk and undertake and strategically managing projects to address that risk and increase Alphabet's resilience to risk.
