What You'll Be Doing:
An American Multinational Telecommunications Conglomerate Company ‘s Privacy Office seeks a qualified Counsel to join the legal team supporting An American Multinational Telecommunications Conglomerate Company Corporate Security. This position will report to the Managing Associate General Counsel for Legal – Corporate Security. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing legal services and guidance to An American Multinational Telecommunications Conglomerate Company's Chief Security Officer and his team. Specifically, the selected candidate will provide legal advice, counseling, and other substantive legal support on security related legal issues, as set forth below. The ideal candidate must have excellent legal skills, sound judgment, the proven ability to work both independently and as a collegial team member, and the ability to effectively manage complex work in high pressure situations.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Providing legal advice to An American Multinational Telecommunications Conglomerate Company's Security Department in general.
  • Providing legal advice to a team of 100 professionals within the Security Department that responds to 250,000 pieces of legal process annually, such as subpoenas, orders and warrants from US law enforcement or civil litigants.
  • Providing legal advice to investigators within the Security Department, particularly with respect to working with law enforcement.
  • Providing legal advice to teams that help secure An American Multinational Telecommunications Conglomerate Company's people and assets.
  • Providing legal advice regarding various data privacy issues.
  • Providing legal advice to product teams, specifically with respect to any risks relating to certain privacy/security laws.
  • Reviewing bills and legislation raising privacy/security issues.

What We're Looking For:
You'll Need to Have:
  • JD degree and six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Active bar membership in good standing in at least one state and needed licenses.
