Essential Responsibilities and Duties
  • Advise and guide the leadership team on legal matters and developing legal strategy to protect and promote the company's interests.
  • Hands-on delivery of legal services and resources to accomplish corporate goals, strategies, and priorities.
  • Ability to effectively work with and manage outside counsel for a variety of issues, including but not limited to employment law, litigation, and healthcare compliance.
  • Understand, draft, and negotiate business terms for multiple complex contracts.
  • Risk-reward assessments identifying and assessing the probability and impact to craft creative solutions.
  • Support the broader business with guidance on employment labor law and compliance.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
  • Current license to practice law in Minnesota.
  • 3+ years working in-house or in a law firm with relevant experience.

Preferred Experience:
  • 5+ years in a similar role with experience significant exposure to areas such as: health law, healthcare compliance, litigation, employment law, and/or corporate governance.
