Description:

Corporate Counsel is responsible for working alongside General Counsel on a broad range of legal, compliance and risk management matters for a growth-oriented global technology company. The role will include direct responsibility for Legal team projects and programs as well as oversight and support for direct reports within the Legal team. This position is a part of the larger Legal team and will have deep exposure to both legal and business matters concerning the company and its global operations as well as the company's M&A activity.

Responsibilities:
  • Role will be to support the business team partners and General Counsel on a range of legal matters, including:
    • corporate organization and recordkeeping,
    • legal research,
    • M&A,
    • technology law,
    • IP portfolio management,
    • contract and lease review,
    • risk management and insurance programs,
    • compliance,
    • policy review,
    • litigation management, and
    • Legal department administration.
  • People manager, with direct reports within Legal Team.
  • Partner with in-house regional general counsel in EMEA, APAC and LATAM

Basic Qualifications:
  • Law degree and licensed to practice in the U.S. (not state specific).
  • 4 or more years corporate/business attorney experience at law firm or in-house.
  • Attention to detail and ability to discern and analyze complex issues.
  • Strong Research skills.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work closely and communicate clearly with General Counsel.
  • Ability to communication clearly with outside counsel and business partners.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with M&A is advantageous.
