The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years of experience in transactional and/or litigation construction law (i.e., drafting pleadings, participating in discovery and motion practice, assisting in arbitration and trial, etc.; and construction contract review, drafting and negotiation, including AIA forms)
- Substantive knowledge of lien laws, bid protests, delay and impact claims, and governmental contracts
- Excellent academic credentials and professional references, as well as solid research, analysis, writing, and communication skills
- Demonstrated ownership of projects and willingness to work in a team-oriented setting, but with significant independence
- Strong client service ethics
- Strong communication, self-initiative, and time management skills
- Interest in business development in the real estate/construction industry
- Oregon State Bar admission or eligibility for reciprocity (required)
