How will you contribute to our team?
- Works with leadership to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to expand and strengthen the network of affiliated law firms, maximizing opportunities for mutual support and collaboration.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with attorneys and law firms specializing in various practice areas, including personal injury law and medical malpractice.
- Evaluate referred attorneys to ensure they possess the necessary experience, expertise, and resources to effectively represent clients' interests and achieve favorable outcomes.
- Conduct thorough assessments of cases matching clients and potential clients with skilled attorneys based on the nature of their case ensuring compatibility and alignment.
- Serve as a supportive and empathetic leader and resource for clients, providing guidance, information, and reassurance throughout the referral process and legal proceedings.
- Act as the primary liaison between clients and referred attorneys, facilitating clear and effective communication, and addressing any concerns or questions that may arise.
- Monitor the progress of referred cases, track key milestones, and provide ongoing support and advocacy to clients as needed.
- Maintain accurate audits of client referrals, attorney/firm details, case specifics, and case communications to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Solicit feedback from clients and referred attorneys to assess client service experience levels, identify areas for improvement, and enhance the quality of referral services.
- Stay informed about legal regulations, ethical guidelines, and best practices governing attorney referrals, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and professional standards.
- Travel is required.
Skills and Qualifications:
- JD degree from an accredited college or university.
- NC State Bar membership preferred. Must be an active State Bar Licensed Attorney in one or multiple states.
- 5+ years of civil litigation experience.
- Empathy, compassion, and a commitment to advocating for clients' rights and interests.
- Knowledge of legal principles, procedures, and regulations relevant to plaintiff representation and advocacy. Creativity is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and foster collaborative partnerships.
- Strategic thinking and planning abilities, with a focus on identifying opportunities for synergy and mutual benefit among affiliated organizations.
- Must be able to exercise extensive independent judgment to make decisions in carrying out assignments that have substantial impact on the department.
- Ability to instruct, direct, mentor, and evaluate team members; direct and motivate others; communicate effectively and use judgment, tact and discretion; quickly assimilate oral and written data, to analyze facts and draw logical conclusions; maintain collaborative client/team member relations.
- Background checks will be conducted on all final candidates for employment.
