A Full Service Law Firm is seeking a highly-motivated Civil Litigation Attorney with at least five years of active civil litigation experience to assist with a fast-paced trial docket and to help grow its Grand Rapids, Michigan office. A Full Service Law Firm practices in the areas of municipal law, insurance defense litigation, employment and labor law, and general litigation.
Skills and Educational Requirements:
- JD from an ABA-Approved law school, with excellent academic credentials.
- Current Michigan Bar admission in good standing.
- Minimum of five years of active civil litigation experience.
- Ability to manage cases from inception through trial, including preparation of pleadings, motions, and briefs, managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, and conducting legal research, analysis, and writing.
- Public entity defense experience is a plus, but not required.
- High energy, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to take on new projects and learn new skills quickly.
- Outstanding analytical and creative thinking capabilities.
- Excellent writing, research, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and electronic discovery platforms.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a timely and professional manner, along with a commitment to provide clients with high-quality services.
