Description:
Nationwide Attorneys is seeking a highly-qualified and motivated patent agent for our Biotech/Life Science Patent Prosecution Practice Group. The position can be based in any office. Interested candidates will have excellent academic credentials and communication and interpersonal skills. An advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, cellular/molecular biology, molecular genetics, microbiology or comparable degree is required.Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications for life sciences, biotech or pharmaceuticals inventions; and/or experience in biotech commercialization, such as university tech transfer, or industry commercialization/regulatory compliance.
A strong candidate:
- can demonstrate the ability to apply scientific expertise together with commercial and legal considerations to understand our clients' big picture in the commercialization sense;
- is comfortable with oral presentation and explanation of work product;
- is comfortable and effective at working independently;
- is comfortable with remotely supporting supervising attorneys in multiple offices.
