Position Summary:
The Associate Attorney will assist senior attorneys in providing legal counsel to existing clients. The Associate Attorney is responsible for conducting legal research; drafting documents and pleadings; communicating with clients and experts; drafting and responding to discovery; document review; and assisting with trial and deposition preparation. Associates may represent clients in court and depositions.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze claim file and other documentation and prepare a defense strategy
  • Conduct discovery, such as depositions and other written discovery
  • Motion practice
  • Attend mediations
  • Prepare for and try cases in both state and federal court
  • Analyze facts of case and propose defense strategy
  • Report to clients and comply with all relevant guidelines

Requirements & Competencies:
  • 0-4 years of experience.
  • Florida Bar admission
  • Strong, relevant, verifiable experience
  • Excellent research, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess great time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Superior attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with others.
  • Must meet expectations for billing goals.
