Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join our legal team. As a Family Law Paralegal, you will provide essential support to our attorneys in handling family law cases. Your role will involve conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and assisting with case management.

Duties:
  • Conduct legal research using resources such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
  • Assist attorneys in preparing and drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and affidavits
  • Organize and maintain case files, documents, and correspondence
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
  • Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness files
  • Schedule appointments, hearings, and depositions
  • Prepare and file court documents electronically or in person
  • Assist with discovery requests and responses
  • Review and summarize legal documents and deposition transcripts
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited program
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal in family law
  • Strong knowledge of family law procedures and court rules
  • Proficient in legal research using Lexis-Nexis or Westlaw
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work product
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with case management software is a plus
