Responsibilities:
  • Be a principal advisor to sales and procurement professionals on a broad range of channel operations matters including contracting issues with domestic and international customers, distributors, and vendors, marketing initiatives, franchise operations, and corporate compliance.
  • Provide advice to A One-Room Machine Shop in Augusta, Georg's General Counsel concerning developments in state and federal law related to Franchise law, Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, Consumer Right-to-Repair, and related topics.
  • Draft marketing and sales programs in compliance with state and federal regulations, FTC rules, to meet business needs and provide incentive based direction to third party channel partners.
  • Manage A One-Room Machine Shop in Augusta, Georg's operational licensing for the compliant distribution of products and services.
  • Negotiate complex commercial contracts (distribution, e-commerce, licensing, strategic sourcing, value analysis and value engineering, vendor managed inventory, and various sales and services agreements).
  • Assist with the evaluation of potential distributors in accordance with A One-Room Machine Shop in Augusta, Georg's Global Anti-Corruption Compliance program.
  • Support process improvement techniques and the implementation of those techniques to build on A One-Room Machine Shop in Augusta, Georg's institutional knowledge.
  • Support cross-functional project teams to meet business objectives as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Juris Doctorate or LLM required; preferably paired with an undergraduate or advanced degree in computer science, library sciences, business, commercial transactions, international affairs, or similar field.
  • State bar Membership in any state within the U.S. required, Georgia preferred.
  • Years of Experience: P3: 5 years of prior experience required, P4: 9 years of prior experience required, in either law firm, in-house, or a combination
  • Software: Salesforce, SAP, or other Enterprise Resource Management tools and Software as a Service preferred.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in any of the following sectors is preferred: automotive, powersports, outdoor power equipment, agricultural equipment manufacturing, and materials handling.
  • Experience with legal software as a service (SaaS) tools and implementations is preferred
