Description:

Past immigration experience preferred, but we will train the right candidate. Spanish fluency required.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and agreements
  • Assist with case management and preparation for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the legal process
  • Represent clients in court and negotiate settlements on their behalf
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the practice area

Experience:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the state bar association
  • Prior experience working as an associate attorney or in a similar legal role
  • Strong knowledge of legal principles and procedures
  • Proficiency in conducting legal research using Lexis-Nexis or Westlaw
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound advice to clients
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Skills:
  • Legal administrative skills to assist with case management and document preparation
  • Proficiency in conducting legal research using Lexis-Nexis or Westlaw databases
  • Ability to litigate cases effectively in court and negotiate settlements
  • Legal drafting skills for preparing pleadings, motions, contracts, and agreements
  • Strong research skills to analyze legal issues and write comprehensive memos or briefs
