Duties Description
The Office of Counsel to the Majority acts as in-house counsel to the A Government Entity majority conference. Under the direction of the Counsel to the Majority, the duties of the Associate Counsel may include but are not limited to the following:
Provide interpretation and analysis of statutory and constitutional provisions pertaining to the legislature; Monitor, perform research, drafting, and/or editing of legal briefs for litigation involving or pertaining to the legislature; Perform legal research and writing on various legal matters as may be necessary; Coordinate among other offices within the Assembly and Senate to effectuate the duties of the office.
