Minimum Qualifications:
  • JD, LL.B., equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience at attorney-level in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
  • Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience performing in high-stakes, high-pressure environments.
  • Knowledge of privacy, consumer protection, antitrust, agreement, content moderation/safety, and/or IP law issues in a technology context.
  • Ability to work comfortably and be conversational across different business functions (e.g., product, engineering, supply chain, marketing, finance, compliance, HR) and lines of business (e.g., sales channels, developer program, international markets).

Responsibilities:
  • Perform legal analysis, complete complex legal assignments, respond promptly to legal requests from clients and legal colleagues, summarizing and communicating legal concepts and potential courses of action that business people can use.
  • Structure, draft and negotiate commercial transactions, and intellectual property licenses and agreements on a daily basis.
  • Advise on legal and commercial issues and options across all business functions (including operations, engineering, sales, marketing, finance, tax, compliance) across the company.
  • Advise clients on risks and options, complex agreement structures, approval processes, company policies and procedures, IP and business strategy.
  • Ensure agreements comply with company policy and risk tolerance. Support the continuous improvement and scale of standard form agreements, legal processes, and company policies.
