Worker's Compensation Associate Defense Attorney

What you will do:
  • Provide effective and reliable legal services to clients and supervising attorneys
  • Prepare documents and exhibits for matter hearings and proceedings
  • Draft, review, organize, and/or file correspondence, pleadings, and other case documents
  • Monitor deadlines and maintain calendars
  • Learn new substantive legal topics and procedures as needed
  • Interact professionally with officials, partners, and support staff to uphold the firm's positive reputation

The Skills & Experience You Possess
  • Currently licensed in good standing to practice law in the state of Wisconsin
  • Two or more years proven experience in worker's compensation litigation is preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of or familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols, and court system filing procedures
  • Proficiency in legal language, legal documents formatting, Adobe Pro, Microsoft 365, TABS, and iManage (or other document management and time keeping programs) preferred, but not required
  • Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), time-management and prioritization, and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently complete multiple activities simultaneously and work under pressure with a positive “Can Do” attitude
