A Commercial and Construction Based Litigation Firm, a boutique construction litigation defense firm located in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida, is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney. Litigation experience is required. Ideal candidates will have two to five years of experience in the area of construction defect defense or an equivalent technical background.A Commercial and Construction Based Litigation Firm is dedicated to representing companies that develop, construct, and participate in complex construction projects throughout the State of Florida, including owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, and design professionals.
This position is an exceptional opportunity for candidates seeking a high level of responsibility in a growing practice. The job duties include the preparation of pleadings and discovery associated with defending a construction defect or commercial litigation matter, handling hearings, document review, research, taking and defending depositions, and all other substantive work associated with achieving excellent results for firm clients.
Candidates must be actively licensed to practice law in the State of Florida and be in good standing with The Florida Bar. Excellent academic credentials are required. Some out-of-town and overnight travel is required (less than 20%).
