Position Overview:
As an Associate Attorney at An Estate Planning Law Firm, you will have the opportunity to work in person in Juneau, Alaska, or remotely from another southeast Alaska community. This role is perfect for an experienced attorney looking to transition away from courtroom battles, billable hour pressures, and a scattered legal focus.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their unique needs and goals for estate planning.
- Supervise probate and trust administration processes with clients.
- Draft and review legal documents related to wills, trusts, and other estate planning instruments.
- Conduct client meetings to provide guidance and support throughout the planning process.
- Work closely with our experienced support staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Embrace technology to enhance the client experience and streamline internal processes.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to the Alaska State Bar.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for working with people.
- Curiosity and empathy to support clients in planning for their incapacity or death.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Experience in estate planning and administration is preferred but not required.
