Description:

A Law Firm, a recognized leader in Health Care Law and Trial Practice, is searching to expand its team of highly-regarded and award-winning attorneys in its Seattle office. Specifically, the firm is interested in candidates who have experience and a focused interest in medical malpractice, personal injury, and insurance defense. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of practice experience with strong legal writing and analytical skills, demonstrated oral advocacy skills, and a commitment to work collaboratively with other attorneys, legal staff, administrative staff, and management. This is a full-time position with a hybrid remote option.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice and representation to healthcare providers, hospitals, nursing facilities, product manufactures and academic medical centers.
  • Research legal issues and medical topics, prepare and file briefs, motions, and other necessary judicial pleadings. Evaluate medical records, facilitate discovery process, and conduct depositions. Support trials.
  • Participate in case management including strategy development.
  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Provide direction, instruction, feedback, and supervision to associates and staff in a positive and collaborative working environment.
  • Increase knowledge in medical malpractice and insurance defense law, monitor changes, and pursue continuing legal education.
  • Accurately and promptly capture and record billable and non-billable work.
  • Meet annual billable hours requirement of 1,900 hours.

Education and Experience:
  • Juris Doctor degree from accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the State of Washington.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in litigation. Medical malpractice, personal injury, or insurance defense experience preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with ProLaw preferred.
