Overview:We are seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Family/criminal Law and a strong desire to excel in a dynamic legal environment.
Qualifications:
- A licensed attorney in good standing with the state bar
- 3+ years of experience practicing Family/Criminal law
- Highly organized and comfortable handling multiple cases at once
- Familiarity with limited scope representation a plus
- Committed to providing compassionate, ethical and empathetic legal care to clients during life's key moments
- Assist with drafting legal documents, including motions and pleadings related to dissolution of marriage and paternity
- Assist with the discovery process by administering depositions issuing interrogatories, and reviewing documents
- Negotiate settlements
- Perform legal research
- Make court appearances as necessary
- Maintain professional appearance and rapport with clients, other attorneys, and the Court
- Conduct initial consultations with potential clients
- Juris Doctor Degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in the State of Florida
- Criminal law experience (3 year Minimum required)
- Family law experience (3 year minimum required)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to meet strict deadlines and anticipate the needs of the Managing Attorney and firm
