Summary:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Attorney with a strong background in both criminal and civil law, including courtroom experience. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, with a focus on criminal defense and civil litigation. Familiarity with family law, personal injury, and eviction cases is a plus. As an Associate Attorney, you will handle a variety of legal matters, represent clients in court, and contribute to our legal team's success.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in criminal cases, including arraignments, hearings, trials, and appeals.
- Handle civil litigation cases, including personal injury, family law, contract disputes, evictions, and more.
- Conduct legal research, analysis, and case preparation for both criminal and civil matters.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
- Interview clients, witnesses, and experts to gather evidence and prepare legal strategies.
- Negotiate settlements and plea deals with opposing counsel and parties.
- Advocate for clients' rights and interests in court proceedings.
- Prepare and present oral arguments, motions, and legal defenses in court.
- Collaborate with legal team members, investigators, and experts to build strong cases.
- Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and legal precedents in criminal and civil law.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on criminal defense and civil litigation.
- Familiarity with family law and personal injury cases is a plus.
- Strong litigation, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a legal team.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client relationship skills.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
